Why participate in a clinical trial?

There are many advantages of participating in a clinical trial, such as:

  • Access to investigational dental treatments before they become widely available
  • Opportunity to play a role in the discovery of dental treatments, cures, and preventions
  • Ability to play a more active role in your own dental care.
  • Access to free dental examinations and tests related to the clinical study

Who can participate in a clinical trial?

To participate in a clinical trial, participants must meet certain standards, inclusion criteria There are also factors that can exclude some people from participating, called exclusion criteria. These criteria usually include factors such as age, gender, one’s type and stage of a disease, previous treatment history and other medical and/or dental conditions.
